Uniform Notes

  • Students are encouraged to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, both in the school and in their own personal appearance. Uniforms should be worn in a neat and tidy manner at all times. Students are expected to keep their shoes polished, socks tidy and shirts tucked in.
  • In the interests of hygiene, we expect that girls have their long hair plaited or tied up neatly and that fringes not hang down over their eyes.
  • Clothing not of the stated uniform, when worn in cold weather for extra warmth, should not be visible. Jackets may be worn to and from school but NOT in class – classrooms are heated.
  • If it is necessary for a child to attend school with part of the uniform absent, then a note of explanation is required giving reason and expected time when the correct item will be worn.
  • Necklaces, rings and bracelets are not to be worn. One only set of inconspicuous ear studs may be worn if necessary, but it would be preferred if no ear adornment is worn. The school will not accept responsibility for loss of any jewellery type item that is ever brought to school or injury caused by the wearing of ear studs.
  • The use of make up, including nail polish other than clear polish, is not permitted.
  • Lost property items will be placed in the lost property box. All unnamed items will be disposed of at the end of each term. It is very difficult to reunite owners with unnamed items of clothing.

This school supports the "No hat, no play" policy.
